Devils Tombstone – Hunter, New York.
My first endeavor was, Devils Tombstone, in the Catskills, upstate New York. You could tell by the cost, and how easily it was to reserve, that it wasn’t going to be the greatest camping spot. When i arrived, my assumption was correct. My spot was pretty close to the state road, and had no electric hookups, and the public restrooms were pretty much aged, and run down. It really wasn’t such an issue for me, because, I wanted a primitive camp site, so I would be able to test out my solar driven electricity, my water tanks, and propane fuel, and, to see how long it would last me. Firewood, and, hearth, were provided at every spot.

The area was absolutely beautiful. I took the scenic route, rather than the New York
Thruway.
